One of the favorite spots of our founder, Virginia (@buewho), this trail loop and special place is a cool one to check out. Nestled in the back of the woods […]
Nestled deep in the Pine Barrens, lay the small town of Pasadena, New Jersey. To the naked eye of a weary traveler, the town seems almost vacant, but surprisingly, there is history all around you.
So if you have heard in the last few weeks, we have a significant event happening in the sky on August 21, 2017. We will have a full Solar Eclipse across the nation that can be viewed by millions.
So you’re looking to explore some places, maybe a New Jersey tour road trip or an adventurous journey away from New Jersey. Regardless there are some great tools and apps you can use to help plan your trip and use while you’re traveling. These are some of the apps I constantly use for my travels.
It’s easy to get carried away with all the gadgets and accessories that are readily available in today’s travel inspired world, but these are some of my favorites that I never leave home without. Some of them you probably have, but it’s a matter of remembering them for your next trip.
NJspots is a community based around lovers of sunrises, sunsets, blue hours, and the night. So, we’re going to teach you a thing or two you might not have known about New Jersey’s night sky.
Looking for multiple places to explore in New Jersey? We have some you can check out. These locations are great for day trips and exploring all the different areas and landscapes that New Jersey has to offer.
The Hook is also home to the (guess the name?) Sandy Hook lighthouse (right? who would have thought?). There you can sign up for a tour and walk your way to the top of the of it; tours are offered for free every hour from 1:00-4:00 pm, and they DO fill up.
The weather is getting warmer, the sun is staying out longer, and the days are getting more adventurous for those looking to explore New Jersey in the spring and summer. We are always looking for new places to adventure in the Garden State, so we have put together a guide for the best waterfall hikes in New Jersey. Get your car gassed up and get ready to explore!
The highlight of Rutgers Gardens is the Bamboo Forest (yes, they have a bamboo forest). We were immersed by giant sticks of bamboo coming from all directions. It’s pretty easy to get lost and forget that you’re in New Jersey and not the Himalayas.
Tag your furry friends on Instagram this month exploring different places around New Jersey. We want to see where you take them. Be sure to tag #NJspotsPets in your caption for a chance to be part of our contest this month.
So you have seen the dozens of pictures on Instagram, you’ve drooled over the gorgeous panoramic views, and now it’s time for you to conquer hiking Mt. Tammany at the Delaware Water Gap in New Jersey.
A few miles off exit 102 on the Garden State Parkway and you’ll find yourself in a beautiful city filled with iconic landmarks, an attractive beach, shops, inexpensive bars, and some impressive restaurants.
